halloween in prague...

officer keating and raleigh the bandit...

i was going to have them both be policemen. i made them police hats out of paper and tape (there are no places to get costumes for children in prague). we had to think of plan b because raleigh wouldn't keep his on. we found this adult police hat at a store that we clipped in the back so it would stay on weston's head. i made weston's belt out of a ribbon and pipe cleaners and made his shirt with electrical tape and scissors...last minute chris thought of dressing raleigh up as a bandit because it would be an easy costume to make. i used a fabric pen for his stripes and paper for his mask...you really have to get crafty in a simple way here if you want your child to wear a costume!

we took the train out of town to a botanical garden that we saw was supposed to have halloween fun for kids. it was such a fun thing to experience. most people were locals and there were kids that were actually dressed up! we didn't see any in the city. it was fun for weston and raleigh to be around other kids that were having fun on halloween too...not the best pic but you can't get a feel for the action...

chris's monster pumpkin...

and some other random pics from the weekend...the weather is so beautiful now. cold but so bright and sunny...definitely happy weather...and it helps that raleigh slept for four nights for 8-9 hours straight...last night was a different story, but cross your fingers that we are coming out of the dark, no sleep tunnel soon...
